While up at Hawkstone park yesterday checking out the venue for a wedding later this month, I noticed they have a fantastic winter deal on. It stated 50 guests for the day and 100 guests for the evening with the room, £2,000!! I thought this was great value for money. We have reviewed our position with regard to being eco friendly and we have found that as a result we are a fairly green business. We recycle 99% of packaging material in which our deliveries arrive, as where possible we re-use this to re-pack goods purchased. We only now proof online therefore reducing the amount of waste and un-necessary printing. Heating and usage of electricity is kept to a minimum and only used during sessions, meetings or editing time. We also use power off devices when the computers are powered down to prevent un-necessary waste. We will also watch this carefully moving forward to try and find other ways to do our bit! The mad rush for Chirstmas ordering has begun with all orders needing to be in by the 4th December ready for delivery by the 11th December. This is to ensure the items are with you before the lab goes on holiday and the final post date arrives!

Well the two main sessions we had running are complete with the majority of the albums now online. There are around 4 more shoots to do until the end of November and weddings still booking up for 2010! As Christmas fast approaches and the end of 2009 we have just reviewed the bookings for next year and 2011 with some great and interesting venues coming up! We will be shooting at Albrighton Hall Hotel, Rowton Castle, Ruthin Castle, Whittington Castle, The Old Rectory, Wem, The Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry, All Saints Church, Whittington, The Grange, Wirral, Hawkstone Park Hotel, The Sweeney Hotel, Morda to name but a few! Brides are now also taking up the opportunity of the engagement shoot with us and are enjoying the images produced from them. We also have a bridal/model shoot arranged for the 28th November with a stunning model and location in mind. We still have a couple of slots for a portrait shoot at our event on 14th November with all other weekends of November to the 28th booked with portrait shoots. The draw winner for Novembers complimentary portrait session will be announced tomorrow. Further engagement shoot photos will be online this week!

A fantastic day of portraits yesterday and the resulting images are stunning! We will be placing these online later this week, with the next event on 14th November 2009! Having read some recent economic data, it seems things are going to be a little bit tough for a while to come. Congratulations to Nick & Liz Monether who were married at Whittington Castle, Nr Oswestry on 28th May 2009. Further celebrations were held on 29th May 2009 in the most fantastic Marquee I have ever seen. Glorious weather for both days allowed the select gathering to enjoy their day in the castle and the grand Marquee (See photo opposite). The castle is a fantastic venue and I would recommend it for your smaller sized weddings. The photographs are now online.
